워싱턴 소재 주간 교육 정보지 '크로니클(The Chronicle of Higher Education)'이 2010년 미 대학 총장들의 수입을 공개했다.

1위는 뉴욕 소재 뉴스쿨의 J. 로버트 키리 총장으로 보너스, 베너핏, 수당, 보너스 등을 포함 총 304만 7703달러를 번 것으로 조사됐다. 김용 전 다트머스대 총장은 연봉 75만 7662달러에 총 108만4885달러의 세금을 보고한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 김 전 총장은 미 사립대학 총장(급) 493명 중 소득 순위로는 28위에 올랐다.

  The Chronicle compiled compensation data from the Internal Revenue Service’s Form 990, which is filed by most major nonprofit entities. We obtained each institution’s form from the college or from GuideStar, an organization that posts the documents online.
